This new study brings below the following popular belief in the world of the fashion: the horizontal streaks fatten the people while the vertical lines stylize the figure.

Result came to this one, scientists of the University of York (England), they did the test with 200 pairs of women's photos who were showing pledges decorated with vertical and horizontal streaks.

As informs the newspaper "The Times", one asked several volunteers to see the above mentioned photos and they were choosing those who were turning out to be thinner. Surprisingly, they chose the dressed ones in horizontal streaks like the most stylized.

In the year 1860, a scientific German called Hermman von Helmholtz, recommended to the women of his epoch to use clothes with horizontal and not vertical lines, in order to which they turn out to be higher.

Already in the XXth century, without having essentials, the world of the fashion imposed the public that the clothes with vertical streaks “adelgazaba and the corporal figure was stylizing ”. Now when the opposite has been verified, insurance they will change the patterns at the time of dressing.
